October 12,2010 Jerret H, Father & Brother Catch The Big Ones on Big Lake!!! Today started with a bang but the wrong kind! A fall front with lightning and storms made today a challange but these guys were up to it. Live Calcasieu Point Shrimp were the key to catching some nice 3 pound Lake Calcasieu Trout. They also worked the banks to fill out the cooler with some nice 24inch Bronze Beauties!!! It was Dad’s Birthday and no better way to spend it then on Lake Calcasieu catching a mess of fish with Captain Tom!!!

October 9,2010 Marainne & Ken Celebrate Ken’s Birthday on Lake Calcasieu!!!! The celebration started with a bang working the birds for about 20 nice Big Lake Trout on Berkley Gulp under a cork. We then moved to the marsh to look for Big Reds. At the first stop the shad were thick in about 1 foot of water and Ken hooked a large live shrimp and cast among the bait and his cork went ripping up the bank with the drag sizzzzzling!!! A few minutes later I was happy to put the net under a 30 inch 15 pound Big Lake Bronze Beauty!!! What a Birthday Present!!!!!

October 7, 2010 Henry R. ,Sam ,& Charlie St. Jude Winners Have a great Day 3 on Big Lake!!! Birds were flying and fish were too! Into the cooler that is. Right from sunrise Gulp under a cork kept me busy netting doubles and triples untill the cooler was overflowing and we headed to Calcasieu Point for a second cooler and more bait! What a problem to have on a beautiful fall day on Lake Calcasieu!!!! It Don’t get No Better!!!!!
