November 17,2008 Mike Lane brought his camera man & cinematographer Geno to fish with Captain Tom & an expert fishing crew of Jeremy Waltrip(Redeye) Mario Gonzalez ( Of Shreveport) & Captain Steve Basone (Of Hackberry ) to make an incredible Fishing Video for Mike Lane’s Sportsman’s Paradise. We caught over 100 nice trout before Noon and had a box of 90 that would barely close. Gulp & sandeels were the baits of choice. The video will be on Rodnreel.com Next Friday(Thanksgiving weekend)

November 13,2008 Ronnie C & friend Dan & Father in law Tony ( My oldest customer so far at 81 ) Did a great job of putting 3 Limits of Nice Trout plus 3 Reds & one Flounder in the cooler! Popping a Gulp under a cajun thunder did the trick. This was Ronnies 3rd trip and he said he’ll be back next spring to catch a 10#er for the wall!!!

November 10,2008 This was Jimmies second trip in 6 weeks to catch Trout & Reds on Lake Calcasieu with Captain Tom. He Brought his Family this time and Captain Steve Basone provided a second boat for the whole family. Inspight of 20 MPH winds the birds were working and the marsh is holding plenty of reds and we finished with 67 fish. Billy had big trout a nice 21 incher ,at 3#s. I,m sure a family fish fry will be on next weeks agenda.

November 9,2008 Mark & Dan from Shreveport found limits of trout under the birds and some nice Red tailing action in the marsh. This was their second trip with Captain Tom this year and it was their best! Bird action for nice trout all morning and in the afternoon we moved to the marsh and found some nice reds tailing in shallow water and willing to bite gulp under a cork.

Mike M of Shreveport and his Family thought they were in an Alfred Hitchcok Movie there were so many birds. We had 40 trout at 7:30 am and went off to the marsh to try for reds & Flounder. We could only get a couple of nice Flounder and headed back to the birds and put 12 more in the cooler to finish a great family fishing adventure on Lake Calcasieu with Captain Tom!!!
